Meet Amy Becker
Hi, I’m Amy!
I’m a Colorado native, a wife, a mother, an outdoor enthusiast, a dog lover, and an oncology physician assistant with more than 25 years of experience caring for patients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I’m also a political junkie who believes government should work for the people—not the other way around. My career has taught me the importance of listening, showing up, solving problems, and treating every person with dignity and respect. Those are the same values I believe should guide public service.
I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, heard, and valued. I will always advocate for people, defend fundamental freedoms, and work to ensure every voice has a seat at the table. Because no one is truly free until we are all free.
I believe we can build a Colorado where our communities are stronger, our government is accountable, and every person has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can create a future that works for all of us. I have never served in public office, and I’m not a career politician. What I bring instead is a commitment to public service, a willingness to listen, and the determination to do the work. I am engaged, thoughtful, and eager to serve my community with honesty and integrity. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I do know how to ask good questions, study the facts, and make informed decisions.
If elected, I will get to work immediately—learning everything I need to know, seeking input from experts and constituents, and making transparency and accountability the foundation of every decision. I believe government exists to serve the people, not special interests or political insiders. My promise is to approach every issue with an open mind, common sense, and a commitment to putting our community first. I am running because I believe fresh perspectives, hard work, and genuine public service matter.

Why I'm Running
I am running for Town Council because I want to make a meaningful difference in the community that I love. My family and I moved to Erie 11 years ago because it was the perfect place to raise our children. We were drawn to its strong sense of community, excellent schools, welcoming neighborhoods, and small-town character. Over the years, Erie has become so much more than where live—it has become home.
Today, I see Erie not only as the place where we raised our family, but as the place where my husband and I hope to retire, grow old, and enjoy the next chapter of our lives. I care deeply about the future of this town because I have a personal investment in it. The decisions we make today will shape the Erie our children inherit and the community we will continue to call home for decades to come. I believe that public service is an opportunity to give bakc, help share the future of Erie, and ensure it remains a place where families, businesses and neighbors can thrive together.
I believe thoughtful leadership, transparency, and community engagement matter. I want to help preserve what makes Erie special while planning responsibly for the future. I will listen to residents, work collaboratively, and always put the interests of our community first. Erie has given so much to my family. Serving on Town Council is my opportunity to give something back—to help build a community that remains welcoming, vibrant, and full of opportunity for generations to come.
